Has anyone got the SkidNation reroute kit? I’ve got it along with Kia thermostat cover but the hose just doesn’t seem to fit correctly, the brake lines seem to make the fitnebt a pig, seems so tight.
If anyone has it, would you please share some pictures?

You've likely already managed but it does fit (1.8 NA): I cut the hose at the radiator end only. It's very awkward though!

I've been in touch with them and I'm arranging to send it back. Frankly I think it's quite a poorly put together kit...

Take a look at the the mtuned or supermiata qmax reroute kits. Better made.

The SuperMiata kit is indeed quality. Bloody difficult to do in situ though.

Just a quick question re the stock cooling system. My heater gauge never moves once up to temp, whether sitting in traffic, normal driving or thrashing it down a b road, it goes up to about 11 o'clock on the gauge and stays there. Is this normal or should I replace the temp sensor (Its been like this since owning the car)

Sounds normal to me. Once upto temperature mine never moves.

The hose isn't the best fit and is a complete pain in the rear canoe to get in but once there it's ok....as long as it doesn't get in the way of the throttle and make it jam open on track

IIRC the standard dashboard has resistors that reduce movement of the needle, so that as long as it's within 'normal' operating temperature parameters, it won't wave about - I presume it's the application of the same logic that led to the removal of the 'proper' oil pressure gauge after (apparently) garages had worried customers bugging them about why it went up and down. Remove the movement, make it 'on/off', remove queries about it. There is a resistor swap mod that can be done to make the needle reflect changes within normal operating temperature - have a sdarch for 'miata mx5 temperature gauge resistor mod' or something like that, I reckon!
