Before going further I would like to know if the 'Classic racing style Mirror' advertised on your site are Raydot style mirror's?

Moss have Raydyots. £47-57 dependant on finish. You’ll need base plates, too.

Depends how the quality compares of course Just recieved an email from a company that stocks both, the Jass item they buy in but there own are made up from parts from various suppliers but they are basically the same. Think Runabout and Tex I'm not having a pop at anybody here but the markup is ridicules

I am having a look from time time time, to see whats new here. Moss Europe distributes Jass. Moss ordered a set of the Jass mirrors, copied them and since then never ordered again. Moss imports the mirrors (sells them for other cars) and had times cheaper prices, than I was sourcing. Of course the information about who sources from where is from a bloke from Moss - names are obvious. Is there difference between the Moss and the Jass design? Of course. Moss blind copied, without taking into account, the passenger mirror has no visibility with the degree of freedom the mirrors have. Each of ours is side coded and modified.
I am starting to find it hard to find meaning to advertise on forums, as lots of products get direct copied. The camshaft tool set (also advertised here) was direct copied and sold on ebay. Same with the crank tool, upper numplate brackets etc. Some of these parts are not after unique idea, but definitely with unique design on the market adding each time something new. But these are all 1:1 direct copies, even the photos look the same, same descriptions, so nothing to add to the community, but to take from the ones who give. Each of those bits took months of communication between me and Mazdamenders to mod, prototype, send to UK, redo. Worst of all - copying the design doesnt copy the function. I bet also the copies of the cam tools are not hardened at all. Or if (why should they, after its a money thing?) - not to the correct degree (best case bends at this thickness, worst cracks).
I can only hope the ones doing these are not between us, as it will introduce very bad taste in the community.

I feel for you Jass, I have the same problem with my spoilers and my door bars, I take a long time to design things and people copy them, not understanding why the design is the way it is, or why I chose the materials I chose. Things look the same, so people buy the cheaper one and then get annoyed when the fit is poor or the item breaks. Worst thing is, they complain about it on forums / FB etc and I get slated for bad products when it's a cheap copy off eBay!
I don't know what the answer is, especially when people are so quick to jump in and criticise things when they don't really know or understand the situation.

It’s a shame this type of thing happens. I’ve dealt with both Vlad and Russell (Vlad extensively!) and the passion, expertise and knowledge really has been second to none.
Vlad made me a custom radio blank and to be honest it cost me buttons.
(We’ve all bought something from a supplier because they are the best but you get the feeling they wouldn’t give you the steam off their piss, the feeling isn’t like that here though!)
I do often wonder why suppliers don’t get involved with forum offers. When this sort of thing happens I can see why.
Keep up the good work lads.

Just to add, to avoid confusion. I don’t get involved in forum wars. I think we all use Mighty5s because it’s a friendly place. I just think credit where credit is due

First up. I am not Vlad. 😜
I’ve had a few bits off Vlad now, including a one off for the Stagea (of all things!). Here’s why the extra money is worth it: - You’re dealing with a top bloke who actually takes the time to answer your questions and entertain your ideas. - If something goes wrong (which it hasn’t) there’s a human on the other end who can help. - The quality of the products is hard to beat. There are not many products out there in the aftermarket that just fit. Having very little fettling required to make it perfect is worth any extra you think you’re paying over an eBay item. - When you take it all in to account, it really isn’t that much money.
Vlad, keep advertising. If you’re going to supply other outlets, you may want to look at your supplier agreement. It would be worth investing a few quid with a good law firm to ensure that your products are protected.

I've bought various bits from Vlad and would definitely consider buying his stuff first.. although I no longer own an MX-5. His hard top brackets are obscenely good!

So as I said. It depends how the quality compares. And that extends to customer service

Its good feeling to see the core of the community back together - thanks or the support and the good words!
Registering product design (patent doesnt make sense really) is not justified by the limited sell numbers we have. That is the reason why the Chinese are not interested, but local boys as the eBay one - working as CNC programmer for EBC brakes and most probably using their machines to direct copy (for free) and sell some stolen designs.
That is not something, that is going to change, as even more it is supported by eBay. The best way I have found to deal with it is to come with many more new unique products. It is the most enjoyable one as well:).
