I tried it in my TVR, no increase in MPG & got a nasty oily smell from the exhaust when stationary 😕😕 Funny you should say that.
Put jungle juice in the Beemer and thought it smelt a bit oily. I know 100% certain it ain't valve stem oil seals, breather valves or similar 'cos Hawthorns in Farnham picked up the tab for that not long after I'd bought it (32 valves, two heads & LOTS of difficulty...) Makes you wonder what's in that brew??

I was filling up at Sainsburys the other day (because it's a good few pence a litre cheaper than anywhere else for Super) and I noticed that the Super labels now seem to say 97 RON, whereas I am sure that it used to be 98 RON...
Have they sneakily dropped the mix a bit without advertising it?
I might email them!

Had my imported Subaru Foz STI mapped at the end of last year, was told specifically by the tuner not to ever use BP97. Apparently they don't like BP I only really use Momentum, V-power or Esso 97 if desperate. So err, yeah, can someone hook me up with this magic stuff that adds 100KM range to the tank for the Subaru? The 93' Mk1 NA6 is basically a hybrid in comparison...

To reply to myself, Sainsbury's have confirmed what the situation is with their petrol - well, in as much as they've dodged the actual question on whether the RON rating has reduced or not and have instead answered a different set of questions...:
