Testing the water a bit but my 91 V spec might be available as another car has come up for sale
1991 BRG V spec with a full 6 point Nickson Motorsport cage fitted, dropped floors (both sides) ... the rest of the spec is variable!
The shell is solid, not been welded and doesn't need to be. It would come with all the body panels ... doors, bonnet & boot, wings and both bumpers. The cage is a full weld in cage, custom made to be pretty much the ultimate, useable track day cage. It cost £1600 to fit. It's designed to allow the fitment of a hard top, and with the dropped floors you're about 4 inches lower than standard so you're miles clear of the cage. The floors have been dropped to be in line with the bottom of the chassis rails ... so the bottom of the car is the same height as normal, it's just a different shape! That cost £1200 to have done. At the moment, it's a rolling shell with a Torsen diff fitted but no engine, box or interior This is where you have options... it could come as a rolling shell, with or without the diff. I have a full Blink stage 2 1.8 engine / Jenvey setup with the ecu and wiring loom ready to drop in. That's fully set up at 185bhp. I have some 1.8 brakes (EBC discs and pads), a gearbox, spec 2 clutch, pair of Bride bucket seats, Ohlins shocks, all sorts.
I'd want £2,000 as a rolling shell, £2,200 with the Torsen I'd want £2,000 for the Blink engine, or £4,500 for the rolling shell with the engine, box & Torsen all fitted.
I'm based in the West Midlands, I'll add a few pics but best to message me and / or come have a look if you're serious
JamesMk3: Rear left wheel bearing replaced. What a saga. Can now hear noise coming from front right, and alignment is completely knackered. FML.

wannabe: I've had both front bearings replaced on the missus' car over the past few months and it's STILL making a droning noise... lol. Need to check if the mechanic actually replaced the correct one the second time I took it in!!

FFS Corders: Are the wheels straight? Buckles can cause a drone

wannabe: Hmmm... That's an interesting idea... no wheel wobble on the missus' car, which I would have thought was a strong indicator of being out-of-round, but I guess they could be bent side-to-side..??

wannabe: Ooooh, interesting - thanks, Howard. I'll have to get the tyres swapped round to see if it makes a difference! I will be most annoyed if it is tyres, seeing as they are only a few months old...

howardb66: If it is the tyres, don’t chuck them away, try getting them shaved.

wannabe: That sounds pervy haha.
