Actually managed to remove the rear bumper, I've got a basket full of replacement bits from Autolink, I'll try use stainless fittings where I can.
Slight issues with the lower diff mount (http://mighty5s.com/thread/3456/diff-lower-mount-stop-washer), really not sure what to do!
Finally managed to source a new cat back exhaust. It's an mx5parts dual tip, I have spotted a cobalt dual tip I could run instead but undecided. I think it's a little less droney.

Having run an mx5parts for all my 7 years ownership, I'd go for a cobalt over it. Much droning occurs. Now I have a single exit cybox type to fit and see how that is

Started with Waxoyl on the rear, first time using the stuff, like spreading jam almost! VHT wrinkled the exhaust heat-shield as it's all I had laying around. Waiting on the diff void fillers to arrive then can put some stuff back on. Should probably charge the battery!

I finally found the proof that I have a hairdresser's car. Stripping out carpets to track down a boot leak, I found a mouldering letter. Some kind of service thing I assumed. Pointed my phone camera at it and pressed translate. "Thank you for applying to Chunichi Beauty College … " I literally have a hairdresser's car.

Changed front right hub. Only a 90 minute driveway job. Would never have believed it. Thanks in no small part to copious amounts of PlusGas, a large cold chisel, and an f-off big slide hammer & hub puller.

Took it for a drive with it's fresh alignment, it's still as bouncy on the HSDs! Also the dual mx5parts exhaust is louder than the single, it's not even bedded in yet

I drove mine to work on quiet roads. Friday the 13th scaredy drivers I have booked the project car in for a full rolling road tune and then its first UK MOT since import. The tuner expects to have the car for a couple of days. www.enginetuner.co.ukIts booked with a transport company to take it to the tuner. Cheaper and easier than hiring a trailer. I will have to check and see if I can drive it home once its all done. All being well the next stage will be getting it registered and taxed.

Hi Folks, Having bought a reg number from dvla M---RSL for the project RS I have just had a browse on the DVLA site and found a reg number which is a match for the chassis number which is several zeros and two digits So I had to buy it as it matches the two digits. So the previous bought number will go on the car in the avatar and the new reg will go on the project once I get it registered. So I will have two RS- Ltd's with M RSL plates both numbers are under the 500 which is the RS-Ltd production run.

The project car has finally left its nest. It got picked up this afternoon and delivered to the Rolling Road / Mot garage. They will have it for a few days to map it properly as the can only do cold start twice a day. I will have to tidy the playpen while it is gone. I could also have a play with the car in my avatar as I now have more space for a few days. Cheers Dickie
