Hi Folks, The 140 MPH speedo is now fitted complete with lockwood face kit. I fitted the TDR Oil pressure sender only to find that the gauge is no different to before it still reads exactly the same, with the same slow response when the engine is switched off.
I am now going to fit the early oil pressure gauge that came with the Speedo.
I am sourcing an early Oil pressure sender as the Track Dog Racing one makes them reads backwards. Switch the ignition on and it reads Max pressure, start the engine and the gauge pressure drops down.
All good fun !!
I will get underneath to sort the tracking and camber caster on Sunday.

Took it out on Thursday and got caught with the roof down in a torrential downpour coming across the top of the Mendips. The wipers could barely cope but I managed to keep the speed up and only got very slightly wet Lesson learnt - it's better to keep going than stop and get drowned

I have now fitted the early oil pressure sender and its working and reading real pressure and the gauge responds quickly. Tracking and camber still work in progress.

I am trying to upload video of the dashboard with ITB noises onto U Tube.

And todays project is to make a remote inlet idle air valve manifold to take a Mk2 idle air control valve. This will then feed idle air into my ITB's via a distribution block.

This is the other side, I have got to clean it and glue the spigots in , no point in getting it welded as its only an air valve.

I have now progressed this a bit more. I have had it working on the car but now need to swap one of the spigots for a 90 deg one and make a mounting plate to fit on the right hand inner wing.
Good job I only used JB weld for the spigots a few mins with the hot air gun and out it came.
I have also moved my throttle cable bracket to a lower position so that I can build an airbox for the ITB's ( future Project )
