Dear mister Skuzzle.
Please could you help with my problem?
Since fitting my supercharger, the actuator on the charger bypass valve constantly flutters open and shut, the flat section on the bracket hitting the adjustable stop on the throttle body. Its hitting it so hard it has actually snapped off the flat section on the butterfly shaft. I thought it might have ben a vacuum leak on the pipe between the plenum and the bypass valve, but this seems not to be the case now.
Cheers, Ron

How is the vac line run. Is it off a port from all 4 cylinders mixed or just taken from one cylinder. Then also do you have a dampning filter. Take 1 extra slim swan filter and jab that up the vac line. See where that gets you

Vac taken from one of the top connectors on the plenum, and the pipe is too thin for even a extra slim filter.

Rip a filter up a bit... Or buy a proper inline filter. Will help a lot

Nope, but I did cure the problem. The vac pipe to the bypass valve, although it felt like a tight push fit was actually letting air in so the actuator was holding. Put a cable tie on it ( couldn't find a small enough jubilee clip) and ....sorted. Thanks for the advice though Nick. Just a shame that now thats fixed the charger has decided to eat itself again
