but www.stroke.org.uk/events/sporting-fundraising/supercar-SaturdayMy grandad had a stroke, he was ill with the c word but after treatment..a stroke pretty much finished him off. He was not the same person i knew after it so he perished in an undignified state. Any way i will be attending this and i have even put my name down for volunteering passenger rides even though the 5 is not a super car. I have made light work over taking a super car or two at castle combe in my humble 5.

I used to give passenger rides in the 7 at the Supercar Event at Dunsfold, such a great way to raise money for a good cause. Ironically it generally cost us more to fix breakages/replace tyres etc. (especially the year one car burst in to flames lol) than what we raised, but hell it was good fun doing it Would love to come to Combe but new baby means it's difficult

I have done this on the Autosolo side for the motor club giving passenger rides in my car and giving tuition to people who want to run their own car on the solo track to win a prize, not 100% sure I will be their this year, but probably will It is fair to say it uses a fair bit of fuel and tyres but its for a good cause and to be honest I have good fun, I have spent so much time arsing about I forget to look around the paddock sometimes and miss all the cars

i have applied but it is a supercar day afterall so i am doubtful.
Good thing about the my 5 is that it can get there and do a track day wwgtg a full tank and only need a little squirt of a tenner to get me home.

Sorry to hear about your grandad, jb - illness that steals the people will know is the hardest to deal with sometimes. We just have to remember that in any cases it is not them inside any more, it is the illness, but that doesn't make it easier when things get difficult. Hope you can get on track, would be cool to show a supercar a thing or two Too far for me, sadly, but I hope it all goes well!

I'll be at the Auto solo bit, not sure if I am driving or giving tuition, it's not a full solo track just a taster but you will be timed and put on a top gear style leader board, not what the prize is, last year it was a few laps of Combe as a passenger in a Radical.
