Still in need of a different ecu, might as well get a different 5 though for what decent ones cost which may be another winter plan if I find a cheap half decent one nobody wants fairly close by. I had planned on putting new coilovers on the shonkey poobeast but that may have to wait again now.
Other winter plans may involve finally buying an LS400 sofabarge, for some reason I feel the need for another machine that drinks money to a more satisfying degree again and they are so cheap. Itch scratching. Diff welding, hold switches, then terrifying winter action.

Business as usual for me, mine is my daily drive so no big projects that couldn't be done at any time of the year.
I've got a list of minor jobs to do and a list of parts I've bought and not got around to fitting yet. I've put myself on a spending cull until I've caught up with what I've got so far - list that's on my spreadsheet atm:
Make steering wheel boss mount and fit snap-off boss Refurbish steering wheel suede Dent repair to NSR wing Mop and wrap full body Investigate knocking while drifting 4WA Remove seats and shampoo carpet Fit new rear lights Autosol to exhaust tips Fit 3 button central locking kit Empty glovebox Repairs to roof Fix dash light bulbs

Underseal the frame rails, change a ball joint, then drive the balls out of it, as it'll be one of the only times I get for a while.

My 5 has been off the road for close to 2 months now, body work done, custom wide arches, sill repair and a re-spray. Now just need to put it back together, service and top up the underseal. Then it'll be used for winter smiles.

Have lost a lot of 'work' time this year due to autosolos so the jobs have been piling up:
Engine mounts (IL stiffer ones) Exhintake cam Expansion tank relocation Butterfly brace Door bars Raise front suspension slightly
These are the ones that have been put off earlier in the year, but there will probably be more!

I'm still looking for any data to show the exintake cam mod is worth doing, got a spare one in cling film!

I'm still looking for any data to show the exintake cam mod is worth doing, got a spare one in cling film! There was a thread on 'the other forum' where either Blink or Skuzzle looked into it in detail; it needs to be done ABSOLUTELY RIGHT or else it loses power. I'm more interested in that lumpy idle TBH

the exhintake mod only works if you can adjust cam timing very accurately with decent adjustable cam gears

My plans are:
1) Get off my rear canoe and install R-package front lip (been sitting in my lounge for ages) 2) Repair the rust on my rear parcel shelf (luckily the only rust on the car) 3) Install new speakers on rear shelf
