Update: Everyone keeps asking for close-up sill and arches pictures, also pics of the leather bolsters so here they are: Sill and Arch pics.
Enthusiast owned for the last 3 1/2 years I now have for sale my 1995 R-Limited, this model is the only MK1 which had an identical factory mechanical specification to the much sought-after RS-Limited.
There are only around 200 R-Limited's in the country and not many will be as nice as this one, these cars are appreciating and continuing to rise in value.
Identical mechanical spec to the RS-Limited from the factory:
15'' BBS Forged wheels
Bilstein suspension
Engine specification
Lightened flywheel
Torsen type 2 limited slip differential, 1:4.3 final drive (really livens the car up, feels like the 1.6's used to), unique to the R-Limited and RS-Limited.
Struts and bracing top and bottom
Brakes
Unique track rod ends
The only real difference is the R-Limited has the oxblood leather interior and Nardi wooden wheel.
The whole car is stock, unmolested, original and correct to the last detail even down to it's new BAS international dark blue hood.
Satellite Blue Mica with oxblood heated leather seats (The German Waeco heated seat conversion has been done by myself, never a factory option)
The leather is in excellent condition all over without the usual scuffs and tears on the bolters.
The wooden wheel's varnish is often crazed and cracked by the sun but not on this car, the wheel is the original and is in perfect condition.
Imported in 2006 and garaged so completely rust free, over £2000 spent in the last three years with a history/receipts file 2" thick.
94k genuine mileage with full MOT history and independent certificate from Japan.
Three keys, two dongles for the Cat2 Immobiliser, HPI clear.
The car is in excellent order throughout as the pics show, it's without fault and absolutely everything works as it should, even the air-conditioning.
Some extra points to note:
Long-term member/contributor of MX5nutz, this car has featured in guides on that site
Dynax S50 Rustproofed
Soundproofed
Expensive double DIN Kenwood stereo and Focal speakers
MK2 Windblocker
New matching Dunlops all round
Four wheel laser aligned
Every fluid in the car replaced in the last 18 months: Brake fluid, coolant, gearbox oil, diff oil and engine oil/filter twice.
Cambelt, tensioners, water pump, O-rings, thermostat, rocker cover gasket, belts all done last year using genuine Mazda parts. Receipts in the history file.
Huge number of other details and jobs done, brakes calipers replaced, new pads, new HT leads, new electric aerial mast, electric window mechanisms, uprated Wipac crystal headlights etc.. too much to list here.
R-Limited's don't come up for sale very often and I know it's the wrong time of year to sell but the car really isn't being used so much now, also I'm going to need the garage space for a 2CV restoration project I have planned for this winter.
If she doesn't sell because of this I can store until the spring so no silly offers please.
£3,750 Car is garaged in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, right in the very centre of England.
