Will be racing in 2017 IMSA championship under DPi rules. Based on a Riley/Multimatic Mk30 LMP2 chassis with Mazda 2.0 litre engine and custom bodywork to fit in with Mazda's design language (unlike last year when they just used a Lola car)   |

The RT doesn't stand for Rotary sadly, it means "Road To 24 Hours". The engine is the same as this years MZ-2.0T approx 600Bhp.
The rules for prototype classes are weird, this car can race in the IMSA series but not the WEC as it has manufacturer-specific bodywork and a non-standardised engine and electronics, despite being based on an approved chassis.

Ahhh the red 55 car had an engine fire from 5th place, and the grey 70 car was out for many hours with transmission issues.
