With the number of things that went wrong in the last two days, I was expecting it to blow up.
The movers thought they had three days to pack and move all our stuff, when they actually only had two.
Somebody crashed into our car this morning which meant I couldn't drive it, so I had to sit for 2 hours until I got picked up and took it to garage.
The Mazda being picked up was 24 hours later, and for a good portion of that the driver was MIA.
My wife and daughter's covid tests for our flight were dated incorrectly, making them immediately invalid, and we only noticed at 7pm this evening...
Fortunately almost all of that is sorted now. But has been stressful couple of days...

Well, we have arrived in the US.
We have bank accounts We have a credit card We have phones We even have SSNs We have a deposit on a car We have an offer accepted on a house! If all goes well, will be in by end of August. And... My car is supposed to arrive on 23rd - way sooner than expected, and than is helpful.
Getting a driving licence is going to be very tricky, everything moves slowly here. It's like a Canoeing third world country
On cars, we have had to suck it up and go for an SUV. Not what I wanted to do, but we are an Audi household so it will be familiar. We are getting a 2018 SQ5. I've had one before for a week, so know how they drive. A bit lazy for something that's supposed to be fast, but it will be perfectly fine for the family car
We also have a hours car for two months, and unfortunately it is a Toyota Camry. Possibly the most boring prarrie canoety new car I have ever driven. I want to drive it into a tree every time I look at it.

Ooh, ohh - the new house has a triple garage that is fucking huge. Enough room upwards for a lift, and enough at the back for lots of benches and tools and shit
Can't wait to fit it out

I can't wait.
The house is going to take a lot of work to make it nice inside (everything is good quality, but decorated in the 90s by old people), and build a pool. So I have a feeling garage will end up being bottom of the list and low on funds.
But even with the kit I have now it's going to be glorious!
If we get the house obviously... Still some way to go

Well, my car is in my garage in the US. But I am in the UK for two weeks... So I haven't seen it yet.
Will check it out in a week and see if it's still in one piece.

Thanks. As soon as we buy a house, I'll be able to relax and get the car running smoothly... It's just put back together to make sure they could drive it onto the boat and then into our garage this end.
Still have a lot to do to get it properly sorted.
Also not decided if I'll register it here. The roads are fucking dreadful and I think it will break it after one pot hole...

We are closing on the house on Wednesday. We have a 2018 SQ5, and i have just bought a 2014 Mini clubman JCW. So we now have enough cars to fill the garage. Yay!

I moved the Mazda a few days ago... I hired a dolly trailer and towed it with the Audi. Worked quite well. And I now have all three cars tucked away... I've just crammed everything in at the moment. There is just so much to do here, i don't think the garage is going to get sorted soon. I'm also very worried about the engine - it still sounds terrible. And the worst thing of all - some bastard stole my gear knob while it was in transit. I just hadn't noticed until I got in it to move it Fu cking basta rds.

The gearnob thing sucks. Video of it running would be good if you want help diagnosing. Nice garage get a huge snap on tool chest now, while you are in the united states if cheap tools.

Careful all the wood doesn’t overload the door mechanism brackets.
