Not the prettiest exhaust you will ever see... Ready to weld up after tacking. The last few centimeters is going to be hard to get the tip in the right place. fnarr. So i wanted to get everythign else welded up properly so there is not room for movement when i do that. I want to try to reuse the one i have already, so that i can simply swap out the back box if i feel like being an absolute tw at to my neighbours. I have also reused the mounting points of the other one, which means this has to sit at a funny angle. But you can;t see it from behind, so it doesn;t matter.

new exhaust works. Much quieter. Still louder than I woudl like, but going to have to suck it up this time.
There is a bit of a rattle that I need to find, and I think it is becuase it has settled off to the side slightly and the tip is touching the heat shield on the bumper. A bit of fettling should sort that out.

Either, the tea is ready or it is time to repalce the turbo coolant lines. photos.app.goo.gl/H9YNiKofjvPHQift8I think it is getting worse as well, because when i pulled into the garage it was wet, and a tiny bit of noise. It then got worse in the 2 mins between that and the video. I think I will stay away form it until it has calmed down...

In my old chassis, I had notched the chassis leg flange, so that the turbo didn't rub on it. For some reason I thought I had more room in this one and didn't need to do it.
Turns out I did. It has been wearing a groove in the compressor housing...

Did they have heat shielding on them or is it just an age related issue? At least you caught it whilst it's still in the light misting stage!
