Good afternoon all, I have been bugged by my friend Jack (jacyboy) to join here for some time now. After quite some time of toying with the idea of getting an MX5, I recently decided to take the plunge! Im not sure how long the car will stay with me as we've just had a newborn, but I'm sure its the perfect family car... I love cars and after selling my beloved Clio 200 to buy a family car, I was desperate to get into something more fun again. Jack has been bugging me for ages to get an MX5, so last summer I took out an ND. I thought it was great, but with a child on the way and a new house the timing was not right. Since then I've looked into various options, but always liked the idea of a soft and rear wheel drive. The MK1 has obviously become very popular recently, so I have to admit that it started to catch my eye a little. Roll on 11 months or so and say hello to my new car... I picked this up with Jack on Sunday. It seems to be in really good condition for its age, and still has its original welds, and doesn't seem to have any bad signs of rust (touch wood!) We're also pretty sure that the car is an S-Special, but it doesn't have markings to say if it is. The previous owner has added a few bits here and there, but I have some plans for it myself. But anyway, here is my 1992 Eunos Roadster 1.6!

Yes mate finally your here! Whoop whoop whoop. Took me almost 3 years but your here! Welcome! Your life is now complete. Beautiful wife. Beautiful baby. Funny looking cat. Lush house and now.. A mx5 I must say to everyone this s special is Canoeing mint. Only bit of surface rust on the wishbone and i mean only a tiny bit. Never been welded, the sills have original pinch welds all the way along. It truly is one of the best s specials there is left! I will now bug you some more about shows and track days bud!

More New Forest area than Bournemouth, but its not far! I hope to get on track (after some mods) and to some meets, but obviously having a newborn might restrict my movements some what! Thanks for the warm welcome.

That does indeed look mint!
Make sure to get it undersealed/rustproofed while it's still in good condition, check the drainholes in the sills and get the sills waxoyled (or similar) inside, I reckon!

Maybe ill post a 'build' thread after the weekend when I can get some better 'car porn' pics. Plus I might be ordering a Cobalt system for it later... And that does look lovely, The colour was on my wish list as I would like to get bronze wheels for it at some point! Probably the wrong place for this, but is the usual price for the Cobalt? Seems to go on sale quite a bit?
