Mine are 17s (17x7.5, I think et38) on a Mk3. I don't know if you can get centre caps for anything below 15". Yeah I’m pretty sure they don’t have centre caps for 14’s.

Excellent choice, my favourite wheels on just about anything. I went for et28. Thanks guys, they look great, keep opening the boxes to have a gander So question time, they are 14x7 ET19, what tyres size would be best? Stick original 185/60/14 or go for something like 195/55/14? Future plans are pretty set to sticking NA, best case scenario ITB’s or maybe just headwork/cams. So not going to have big power basically. So what would people recommend?

So had a quick start on the engine bay overhaul today, here is the before picture , over the next month, it should be transformed into something a whole lot nicer! Mainly in terms of cleanliness but also a couple nice parts.

re tyre size, 185/60 would be fine, I went for 195/60, mainly because I wanted to take advantage of the extra wheel width, but also because Vred Sportrac 5s in this size were a good price from Camskills at the time.

Going to have a play with the car over the weekend, fit my JRCAI predominantly. Now before buying the JRCAI, i bought one of DaveFab’s radiator cooling panels. The panel looks awesome and would love to fit it but I’m assuming fitting it with JRCAI would work entirely against where the JR will be getting it’s Cold Air source?
I’m pretty sure it’s obvious that fitting them together is counterproductive but in a desperate hope that I’m wrong so i can fit my lovely rad panel i thought I’d seek your guys definitive opinion!!

Defeated by the two pesky bolts, one had been sheared off by someone else previously and the other I managed! Tried to extract them but to no avail, so reassembled the 5 and will re-evaluate a plan! Very disappointed, was going swimmingly!

They'll drill out easily enough. Try a left handed bit first?

They'll drill out easily enough. Try a left handed bit first? That method(left hand) will be my next step. If not guess it’ll be off to someone with a welder? The extractor bits i had snapped off in the bolt, weren’t cheap bits, thinking these bolts are under tension? That’s a task for next week as it’s back to work tomorrow.

Start soaking them every day with WD40 at least until you try and drill them out. It can make all the difference!

Bol’s had a oil change, new leads, plugs and AC removed, as well as a few usual seals and rocker cover gasket. Popping to a garage to get those two pesky bolts removed on Wednesday , yes yes easy way out (hopefully!) and then I’ll fit the JRCAI. Plans for the engine bay will then be alloy rad, new hoses, maybe a coolant reroute, washer bottle relocation, gas bonnet strut, general clean, clean the strut bar(rusty bolts). Went to view a MR2 Mk1 the other day, I want another, I’ve had 4 including a Mk1.5(One with a Mk2 Mr2 turbo engine in it), I didn’t buy the car I viewed but i did pick up these two steering wheels for a bargain. The Personal I’ll see how it feels in Bol. As for the Astrali I’ll just moved it on I think, or save it for a man cave one day

Usually Raid have a marking on the front? I wouldn’t be surprised if that one is just an aftermarket wheel, either way it was a tenner so we’ll see if the back reveals anything.

Up to date engine bay, though it’s been like that a while! Is the brown radiator malarkey a myth? Been like that since I bought it 3 years ago Parts stacking up in the garage, not much time at the mo for giving BOL attention, mainly due to playing with my newish daily. Finally found a local black bumper that doesn’t have a hole in it from a previous fog light! Bonus. Next job will be locating a decent Roll bar, started to feel a wee bit vulnerable without one, probably due to the amount of carnage I see from RTC’s as part of my job as a Paramedic, coupled with the endlessly increasing number of truly rubbish drivers that are inhabiting our roads!
