Has anybody had any issues with getting driver's side (rhd) Sparco Sprint v to line up with the steering wheel?
I have tried various solutions like the gsm side mounts....I'm too short for their furthest forward position, and most recently drilled out the oem runners, but the seat ends up too near the door if that makes sense?
The oem fitting holes in the floor appear to be offset at points......
I see jass do an adaptor bracket set, but this appears to centralise the drivers seat on a LHD mx5!
Any help gratefully received

Where are you Sifi? I have some runners drilled for a sprint and the position was pretty much bang on. You're welcome to them if you like, I no longer need them.

Hey matey,
That's very decent of you! I am in North London (Finchley)
It's a really strange one because I've just drilled out the standard runners with an extra hole at the back and bolted them on. Even with this setup I have to sit to the left in the seat to be in line with the steering wheel!
Where abouts are you based?
Simon

I'm SE London. I come in to London Bridge every day for work. My runners have had four holes drilled, slightly offset, if I remember correctly, so might be just what you need. Happy to meet up one lunchtime, drop me a text on oh779121251nine

Interesting... I find that the standard tombstone seat sits me just to the left of the wheel, so I end up twisting to the right slightly, which is the opposite to what you are finding!
Either way, I'm glad it's not just me who is sensitive to slightly out-of-alignment seats - the missus car is also offset to the left and it is driving me slightly insane...

The only time I get past the irritation is during a track day because I'm trying hard not to crash! Appart from that it's bloody irritating! Ok this Sunday I pledge to remove the seat, jack one side of the car up until it's level (outside on the road) and map everything using a laser spirit level and some plumb lines to see exactly where the oem mountings are in relation to the steering wheel. Then if i measure the sparco holes in relation to the original seat and runners I should be able to work out exactly what I need using some maths and some beer to help me contemplate myothercarsa2cv......I may well be in touch V soon to take you up on your kind offer!

ooh ooh ooh
That would be awesome if you could find that out! (and perhaps draw a little diagram or mark up a photo to illustrate? lol)
I need to know as well because, like you, if I'm going to fit an aftermarket seat, I want to do it properly the first time!

You wouldn't have liked my Clio 182 then - wonky tastic! I used to have a Williams clio 2.......... Fantastic car but.........I had to take the engine out to change the clutch and every cable in the car snapped, and the clutch pedal broke, and bits fell off on the motorway ....etc etc etc If that car had dared to offer a wokny tastic driving seat experience as well, I would have had to give it a 'damn good thrashing' Bazil Fawlty style

I swear I replied to this last night but apparently not... I must have done it in my head lol What I was going to say was thank you for the link! Does the seat now 100% line up with the wheel? It looks like the Jass rails correct the LHD driver's seating position (so our passenger side) but not our (RHD) driver's position??
