So named by Mr Cribb as it is a bit of an ugly mutt. But I have big plans to get it looking nice, I might even go as far as having shiny paint on a car again! Basically it is a 1.6 mk1 with a few little bits currently. It has been used as a drift car by a previous owner, who killed the freshly rebuilt Gaz Gold coilovers so they need a refurbish and new stiffer springs fitting. It has a roll bar welded in, want to swap this for a full cage at some point, but it will do for now. 1.8 brakes up front along side poly bushed wishbones and arb. Custom exhaust and 4-2-1 manifold which has been heatwrapped. Omex rev limiter and partially stripped interior. Plans are to get it MOT'd and on the road and then slowly sort the mechanicl issues and any rust, I know there is some on the sills which probably need doing for the test, and then repaint it in my colour scheme and track it. Long term turbo it, although I do have some bodies and love the sound of a na screamer....

So my boss let me use the da and other assorted tools loose on my wheels. Set of black racing ones I have had since 5 number 2. Only downside is they are old school valve holes, needs a bend in it and the one original one was all metal! Supposedly 3 piece if the centre cap is to be believed, but I havent been able to split them. Need to try with my tools next week. Before During with comparison and how I have left them till I can split, not as shiny when the thinners drys out

Thanks, can't claim any credit, and frankly don't want to, as it was bought like this. Will be much different once I sort it, more track daily than drifter. That reminds me, need some chassis braces as they have been smashed by the lows!

Any pictures of the valve? I bought some new valves for my MS03 last year that were L shaped, I can dig out the eBay link for you.

Is this James' old drift car then? Nope, Steve got it as a parts car I believe. Unless I'm mistaken. And no don't have the valve, it's at the bottom of a bag full of sawdust and sanding pads now. Feel free to link me and I will look and see, if not normal valves will do, just be a pain.

ive got those very same wheels, never seen them on anything else before. Do you have any idea what they are or if they have any rarity value to them. Im considering swapping them out but if they are worth keeping i may have them refurbished. cheers Darren

Fairly rare but not sure if that means they have any value. They are 3 piece wheels I think. Have you managed to split yours at all? Car had a cover ordered today as I am being moaned at by security as they have had a complaint. Had to scrap my micra Need to get cracking with the mx5 really as not long till I need it for japfest!!!

ive not split mine but have just had a closer look off the car. Failed the MoT yesterday as one has a small crack on the inner rim, been there for 2 years but the tester decided to notice it this time. Im 95% certain theyre splits as i cant see anyone putting nuts on the inner sections if they were imitations. they have, or have has some labelling on the inside rim at some stage. After a clean up i may be able to make something out. the only id i can find is the letters "BR" cast on the centres? Just bought a set of 14" steelies and yokos off the bay to get the MoT done, strangely i like the look of them

They're kind of considered the Rota of Japan; they make a lot of copies of other famous models. They should be 3 piece splits.
