I'm not going to cut and paste the whole lot from nuts so we'll have to go with a super quick summary!

Bought the car in 2010 as a standard-isa 1.6 Eunos. Had Koni dampers, Rays Wheels, vented lid and a Larini exhaust. Looked like this:

The plan for 2016 is fit some cams me and skuzzle have been working on to break the 200whp figure and then go and win some trophies! I'll be entering it in the 2 Farnborough District Motorclub Sprints this year as well as the Abingdon CAR-Nival.

It should also hopefully see a couple of trackdays and maybe a run up a hillclimb somewhere. Reliability dependent it will also get dragged to a few meets and car shows.

I really love this car. It's what I'd love my NA to be like. The more I read, the more a supercharger makes sense over TBs that I have my heart set on.

Hope to see it at a meet sometime seeing as you are in a similar area to me.

This is probably for another thread, but have you been happy with the sc route? Has it been reliable and easy to live with? Why did you discount keeping it NA on ITB, or passing up the turbo route?

Yes and no. The car is bonkers quick with loads of low down torque. It feels like a big straight 6 instead of a 4 pot. The dual TBs make the throttle peddle heavy though and I’ve modified it so far it’s not really a very good road car anymore hence why I bought another MX5 for sunny fun road days.

It has the large ones on each door! I am thinking of re-shelling it into a white car and going for a full Mighty5s livery.

I have gone crazy though. It runs a very a aggressive clutch with a superlight flywheel. This makes pulling away from a standstill consist of 2 options. 1) Stalling or 2) Burnout.

It's perfectly possible to supercharge an MX5 and it feel just like a normal MX5 but faster and with a bucket load of more torque. I just went too far for a road car but it is a road legal race car afterall.
