I know you're super busy and don't get on here much but I'm in no rush! I have just read "somewhere else" (sorry) that you may offer an AFM and timing mod for 1600 engines? From the money I understand it costs it would definitely be something I'd love to get done. Did I read right? It'll at least keep me entertained while I save for management and your head/cams. They seem to offer a better return than ITBs that I've asked about elsewhere. Looking forward to your wisdom

Got it done on mine, found a considerable amount of HP with the AFM Mod and Dyno tune.
Search on Nutz for my thread and it shows before and after dyno graphs.

+1 on getting it done on the dyno. Can then optimise the timing and adjustment

Thanks both A thread on nutz prompted me to ask this... I think the guy paid around £120 to get it done? Seemed like a bargain to me. I'm only half hour away. I might go in to see Mr Skuzzle.

Go for it. He is always busy but won't mind having a chat, especially if he is going to get a new happy customer

I am hoping to get mine done too as I have heard some brilliant feedback

Will this work on 1.8 1996 mk1 by any chance ?

No, the AFM has a spring you can adjust while the 1.8 has a MAF which doesn't have a spring
However, it is still a good idea to optimise timing on a dyno to get a bit more potential from the car
