Yeah tempted. Not sure on the mk3 or Mini. Both would be class 5.

They would be class 4 under 2300 surely? Had a look a the sprint on youtube see if I fancied it, lots of straight bits the power of the Mini would trump the 5 I'd imagine.

Yes you're right. Class 4. Is yours a 1.8 Toby?
I think the Mini would be quicker if it ran 1b tyres and the geo and brakes were any good. Currently it struggles for traction from a standing start and coming out of corners is all one tyre fire without an LSD and some camber.

Just looked at the entries, class 4 winner will likely be Paul Braddock in his Mini. It's been converted to turbo and running 320bhp. He was hard to beat when it was running 250bhp!

It's more difficult than it looks, first corner is challenging, and is critical fo speed onto the straight. Nailing the turn in, and exit to the tight corners is critical.
Last year I got 2nd equal in class with Dave Newman, which I was quite pleased with ( up to 2.0 class though)
Also, you usually get 4 timed runs, which is a bonus!

Was it not at Rushmore last year as the driver training area wasn't available?

Would be nice to compete against some more Turbo 5s but I'm done for the year. Maybe next year! Be great if more turbo 5s where regularly competing.
