I'm going to be kicking off the 2018 season nice and early next year with an autosolo, see if I can find some love for the car again after it having been layed up unloved for ~4 months.
www.shmc.co.uk/index.php/events/autosolo
Its way down south and generally in grim conditions for that time of year but that's good for switching myself back on.
It is part of the ASWMC Autosolo championship.
anyone else game.

I'm in as well. They had it listed as a B event as of yesterday so I started filling out all the forms to get the licence but didn't have all the information to hand. It's now been changed to Clubmans so I guess I can hold off for now. Thought I might as well sign up for the ASWMC for the sake of £15 - though I doubt I'll be travelling down to the Cornwall events. Also ended up taking & passing the online rally/xcountry marshalling assessment so that's in the post too It's looks like it may be a busy and fun, but hopefully relatively inexpensive, 2018

Great stuff, I realize you have just signed for ASWMC but if you want less sourthern also sign up to Cotswold motor sport group Championship, its only 5 quid and has some event overlap with ASWMC, to qualify for championships you do need the non race natB license, if you are not too bothered about champs you can just turn up with clubmans but on popular eves priority is given to championship contenders. www.cmsg.co.uk/Only need to do 8. Rounds: Sun 25th Feb Devizes Kemble Sun 18th Mar Ross & DMSL Mitcheldean Sun 8th Apr Bath MC Kemble Sun 22nd Apr Oxford MC Finmere Sun 13th May Sixty & Worcester Cheltenham Sat 26th May Bristol MC Westonzoyland Sat 9th Jun Dolphin MC Abingdon Sun 5th Aug Bath MC Kemble Sun 9th Sep Bristol MC Westonzoyland Sun 16th Sep Ross & DMSL Mitcheldean Sun 7th Oct Oxford MC Finmere Sun 14th Oct Sixty & Worcester Cheltenham Finmere, Abingdon and Kemble tend to be really good events.

Thanks for the link and list - that looks a lot closer to home, and even closer to where I work.
All set for Saturday, B license arrived today. It's a bit of an early start - I might have to forego a cooked breakfast unless I find somewhere on route open in time.

Well that was fun! Congrats to Sandys for getting FTD and to Ricky for taking the class win - well done chaps. I was way off their pace (and almost everyone else tbh) but saw a gradual improvement each run, and really enjoyed the day. Looking forward to the next one now.

I finally got one Bloody hard work yesterday though, must be one of the tightest solos I have been to, lots of low speed wheel work required, quite tricky in the mk3 as its quite wide and I'm not the quickest on the wheel, Steve Connor was chasing hard with some well executed handbrakes and masterful driving, an uncharacteristic couple of errors from him early on giving me just enough. Kemble will be an even bigger challenge with yourself and the BTRDA boys out playing, think there will be a couple of kit cars out so we'll have our work cut out for us, but game on

Well done, I'm looking forward to Kemble next month, it will be good to have some more competition in the mx5 class!
I tend to ignore the kit cars, they should be soundly thrashing the mx5's, so if I'm close to them that's good enough for me?
Nb - nice photo on the mx5oc.......
