Ive been using axxis ULT with good effect for years. no fade on track in a 240bhp turbo Na.
My brakes have begun to feel a weak point of the car - but im putting that down to knackered discs and pads...
After doing a lot of research , I've just treated myself to a new set of plain brembo discs and gone for Carbotech xp8 all around.
I run braided lines- good fluid and standard 1800 calipers - with a willwood valve set to full rear to improve the balance.
If you wanted to address the inherent brake bias issue would look at running a "hotter" pad eg xp10 rear. But 949racing advised me against this, as it can have potential to catch you out during on the limit braking events

Have looked at the pads recommended at the Rodders pads are very VERY cheap compared to the rest, yet solid reviews online. They seem a decent option. I run grooved discs that require replacing soon, will likely go for the EBC grooved and dimpled set up. I run 1.8 stuff.
How hard/easy is it to fit a brake bias valve inside the cockpit?

I just wish that Rodders would publish some graphs of their performance, so that comparison and decisions can be made with full knowledge of all the options. I hate being kept in the dark, it feels like someone is trying to get one over on me.

Plain discs FTW. nil need for grooved etc.
"I recommend against the use of aftermarket drilled or slotted rotors for track days or competition for safety reasons. I've seen too many rotor failures over the last 20 years, always a drilled or slotted aftermarket rotor, never a plain one. " Emillio 949 racing.

I can see the justification for slotted / drilled discs on a road car, where pad glaze might occur during 'day to day' driving that occurs between the 'fast' driving occasions, so I think I'd agree that they were unnecessary on a track/competition car!
