BIt late to this, not been on here in a while.

There is no discernable difference between the Auto/Manual engine.

The only thing that is different when doing the cambelt is that on the auto you HAVE to use a locking tool on the crank as you obviously cannot put it in gear to hold the engine while you undo the bolt.

I'd suggest for a garage doing a cambelt, pump and aux belts that 7 hours is a joke. I don't think it has ever taken me more than 4, and I am a moron who loses spanners under the engine. These cars are easy to work on.

Seeing this, I'm going to create a sticky for people to add in good MX5 friendly garages.
