Ive never had problems with them. I think the spanish heat and 280hp and your style of driving was too much for them 😅 Maybe so 🤣 never again will I see 280hp mind you..... 320hp is the next target!

I'm running Carbotech XP8s all round (on mk2.5 sport brakes), they have the best bite of any track pads I've tried when cold (better than standard pads), when warm hitting the brakes is like hitting a wall in a modulatable fashion, they are ridiculously good. Way better than Axxis ultimates, Ferodo DS2500 etc.
Downsides are the price (£300+ a set from the UK, cheaper from the US), lots of dust and they make appalling noises when you are braking slowly (eg. in traffic). They seem to be lasting very well though.

I've been reasonably happy with my Rodders pads over the course of this year - Sprints, hillclimbs and 4 track days at Knockhill out braking most things....
I don't think they're quite as good as the Axxis ULT's I had on last year, they need a little heat to bite well but did resist fade round Knockhill although by the end of the day my pedal was longer, I noticed previously that I had tapered wear on the pads which may be why the pedal dropped (fluid is RBF 600).
I almost bought a set of Carbotechs but just can't justify the cost when I don't need ultimate stopping power or longevity for the competing I do (I also need pads that work from cold which rules out most "race pads"), plus I don't want corrosive dust on my wheels (Carbotechs are ok in this respect though) instead after much deliberation I've found some good reviews from the Miata gang on Stoptech sport pads, these are supposed to be similar to the Axxis pads and can be had for under £100 a set.... I'm keen to see how they do.

The last couple of times I've used the '5, I've noticed the brakes not biting as hard as they usually do... They don't like the really cold temps...
Still, the yellowstuff I had on before destroyed 2 or 3 pairs of discs, as after track days they'd leave deposits on there giving the sensation of warped discs and prarrie canoe braking... Same when it spent a couple of weeks in the bodyshop, came out with "warped" discs, which again I put down to deposits from the pad...
