Hello everyone, just recently registered but have had mx5s for the last 5 years now. I still have my first one which is used as a Targa/Rally car. Ive been on the hunt for a while to try and get myself a cheap runabout. A good friend had this for sale and after insulting each other, ringing him offering terrible money and generally being a pest i got this minus the wheels and seats for £140. Car is as follows 1.8 uk car LSD Super pro polybushes up front scorpion stainless exhaust. non branded lowering springs and kyb shocks cone air filter atrocious camoflague trim the best ever airbrushed bonnet to grace an mx5 plans for the car are to weld 2 holes in below, MOT and a coat of paint. I have a mazdaspeed roll bar on my parts shelf which will get fitted, KYB SR Special shocks and AutoEXE lowering springs and an original momo steering wheel. Purchased a set of 14" panasport pro rally wheels on ebay at the weekend and need to find a set of standard tail light. I also havent told the wife about this one yet as this is mx5 number 3, along with a 205 gti rally car, ford escort mk2 rally car and a lada 2105.

Keep the bonnet and buy a wolf shirt to wear when you drive the car. That would be so cool.

Just been working away at the mx5 when i get a few minutes spare. Have the welding completed in below, seam sealed the joints and the car undersealed. As usual when you start poking at a small hole it ends up a big hole.
Found a set of kyb agx adjutable shocks for a bargain so snapped those up and waiting on delivery. New discs and pads ordered also so once thats done the suspension and braking should be well sorted for the forseeable.

Had a spare half an hour this evening so stuck the mx5 on the lift and fitted the ear suspension and tidied up a few not be jobs that were done previously. Have two rear calipers to go on and a fresh set of discs and pads.

Bargain car, and looks like you are getting it sorted quickly. What bit of the UK are you in? I have a set of lights on an old UK Mk1 shell which is slowly dissolving.

Got a few hours today between other jobs. In hindsight I should have tidied the springs up. Pity as they only seen about 3 months of use but lay in a damp steel container for the last year :-(
