Hi All,
I've now had my first project car a 1995 Eunos Roadster for a year now.
A lot has happened in that time and I thought it's high time I started a project thread.
The first few posts will be about what has been done so far and it'll likely take a few days to get this thread up to speed.
Before this project started I had almost no experience working on cars so everything I've learned has been from watching youtube videos and reading project threads.
It all started when my previous and first car (bought for £500) started to have problems.
I spent more than the car was worth for the local garage to chase down the various issues but the last straw was when it broke down while driving for a holiday.
With some help from the AA and a VAG COM cable and laptop I had I managed to get to my destination and immediately started looking for a "new" car.
I'd always wanted a car that I could tinker with and learn on but couldn't justify running two cars so anything I bought would have to be a daily driver and project car all in one.
After looking at various options that were far out of my price range I was offered a 1995 Eunos Roadster import for a good price and after some humming and harring I went for it.
The good:
The bad:
Some of the issues above I knew about before buying the car but others were a nice surprise later on.
A year in and I'm still glad I bought the car as it's been a fantastic learning experience.
There are some things I wish I'd done differently and some things I'll need to re-do but I guess that goes with the territory.
More coming soon!

The good:
- Coilovers
- Alloys
- Stainless cat-back
- Intake
- Painted cam cover
- Some rare-ish JDM parts
- Uprated hoses
- Uprated flywheel & clutch
- JDM Oil cooler
- Uprated anti-roll bar
The bad:
- The coilovers leak
- The alloys were kerbed (found later that 2 were warped)
- Manifold was cracked, cat-back inner pipes had separated & exhaust leaked
- Intake filter was held in with mechano metal and had vacuum leaks. Also the vent hole cut in the bonnet, FML.
- Cam cover was painted on the inside too and was flaking off into the oil
- JDM trim parts were cracked and/or damaged
- The hoses leaked
- The clutch was at the end of it's life
- Oil filter hadn't been changed since before it was imported in 2006!
- Radiator is nearly at the end of it's usable life
- Wiring rats nest with lots of splicing, twist and tape and other atrocoties
- Rips in soft top
- Different shades of white
- Oil leaks from CAS, cam cover and sandwich plate
- Cracks in rear spoiler
- Destroyed ARB bushes and drop-links
- Mis matching tyres
- Rust in the boot and crusty battery
- Soooo many zip ties
