OKAY, this first post is going to get updated a few times and get steadily longer so keep an eye on it!

Some of you may remember how awesome this was last year...well, it's back again in 2019

Date - 18th & 19th May 2019

Location - Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester PO18 0PX

Tickets

Advance entry tickets are on sale - both day and weekend flavour - store.retro-rides.org/

£10 per day for advance tickets, £15 on the gate

£45 for a weekend ticket including camping; there's also a proper bar on Saturday evening and of course the famous Tat Auction for charity - bring some items to donate!

Club Display

There will be club displays on the track on SUnday, with anything pre-1998 allowed in, so mk1s only im afraid! (Although we could sneak some early mk2s in without anynoe noticing)

We have booked a 15-car space, you can book onto the stand through signing up on the link here: retroridesevents.com/

Our club name is Mighty5s and our club ID is: t0jqmsw3cfx

Ticket order number will be the number in your ticket purchase email

You
can also apply for entry on the Saturday which is not done in organised
stands, but will be within the grounds of the circuit - all info again on retroridesevents.com/

Sprint/Autosolo

Saturday has a point-to-point sprint around the circuit

Sunday will have an Autosolo

Track time will be open for booking in March, so keep an eye out

Retro Rides Weekender is back in action at Goodwood on 18th and 19th of May 2019. Unique paddock displays, track action on the Saturday, auto solo on the Sunday, new "Deadline" display area, a huge variety of retro cars on display all over the site on both days and Sunday's track based club displays we're coming back bigger and better.

Tickets are £10 in advance per day (£15 on the gate). Weekend tickets including camping are £45. 16 and under go free.

Get in early, it is a great show, great location, great atmosphere

Last year they had what they called sprints, which was 4/5 cars at a time with no overtaking doing 2 laps

I will be trying to get a spot this time as it looked pretty fun as long as the car in front wasn't slow

but this does look very promising.

Did we fill the stand last year? My car is, er, 'a bit rat' but I'm hoping that it will at least be running properly by May next year, so am tempted...

The standard of your car is irrelevant, as long as you get there and have a good time

The feel of retrorides gathering at Shelsley and then last years Weekender is completely different from most other shows. All about older cars, keeping things running and appreciating the efforts other people put into theirs

I doubt I will ever have a 'show-worthy' car again, it's such a lot of hard work and it takes just one mindless retard to run a key along it to ruin everything, meaning parking it and walking away is STRESS, especially in town centre car parks or supermarkets or dodgy areas. I like being able to park up and think that someone could pour paint stripper over it and probably improve the finish!

I'd much rather be driving it than polishing it

I'll speak to the missus and see if she'd want to come and, if so, if she wanted to camp. I think the answer might be No on both parts lol, but I must ask!

I'll try and come along again for 2019. This year was an excellent show. As Corders said, a great atmosphere, and some great cars on show, being driven how they should be. Public parking for me though. It'll be quite a few years before the Mk3 is old enough!
