Been a busy couple of weeks, managed to survive Le Mans which was an incredible. Back to the RS.... Start with the most exciting transformation. Picked up the seats last week, pics of them before are further up the thread... The replacement throttle cable was from a 1600 MK1 so to long... Ready for the first fire up with the Mazdaspeed leads fitted , and nothing.... Some serious investigation was required Turned out the fuel pump was buggered in the tank, swapped out and it fired up first time Followed by some interior trinkets... Knee pads and the center consol gaitor swapped out for a fresh leather one

Time for a bit more of on update, to get this ready for the summer, and some progress through the lock down we are currently going through. Got a fair few job to finish that were rushed last summer, mainly fitting some parts I never got around to. So I'll update with progress for this Spring 2020.. Firstly engine has came out, as it was only temporary, and now I plan to fit a good MK2 RS engine, which has had a rebuild in by previous owner, I still have the original engine so it can go back to how it left the factory. The MK2 engine I plan to run on a ME221 with a flat top manifold, and ARC chamber and induction box. Some pic of the engine to go in Then in a couple of months a set of Jenvey ITBs, now this was the main reason to drop the MK2 JDM engine in, as it is a better starting point to add throttle bodies to. Other items include fittin the OEM rear light seals and bootlid brake light seal, service the electric window to free them up so they move quicker with grease and some delrin bushes.... Plus a new washer bottle lid and bonnet stay holder
