I recall it being posted somewhere on here (perhaps Zed. .?) that the numbers of very early cars (F-reg / 1989) was pretty low??
I mean, HowManyLeft is showing 15 Licenced Eunos 1.6, with 6 SORN:

I can't remember how many were initially registered but I'm pretty sure quite a few will be dead by now... lol
I therefore thought it could be useful / interesting to keep track of them, perhaps, by posting up a link/pic if/when we see one??
On that basis, and if it's not a totally terrible idea, I'm going to start with the one below that I stumbled on earlier online. If it is a terrible idea then I'm happy for this thread to disappear

Mazda mx5 mk1 1989 model not many made in this year.
Done roughly 234,000 KMs or about 145,000 miles.
I have been told the new engine had 75,000 miles when it was put in.
Japanese import was previously imported to New Zealand before being imported back to Japan and to the UK. Stayed in the south of England until the previous owner bought it a year and a half ago so hasn't seen much of the Scottish weather.
Converted to 1.8 from 1.6.
Coilovers.
Welded diff.
Polly diff bushes.
Mono steering wheel.
15x8 Axe wheels.
New stock exhaust.
Foamectomy seats.
No Mot.
E/W power steering.
Roof is in good condition with glass rear window, receipt there for the replacement.
Engine has had a new rocket gasket and cas seal along with new cam seal and new front crank seal.
The paint isnt the best and the rear arches have been "repaired" in the past and rust has come back through. The inner arches and the underside of the car are in good condition aswell as the suspension arms
etc.
The cold start valve doesnt work the best so when it is cold it needs some throttle for a few seconds to get going until its warmed up.
Loads of receipts and import history.
2 sets of keys.
