Genuine question - is there actually any need for a baffled sump on a MK1/2, I've not heard of any having oil pressure issues on track? Not sure if the Ma5da cup cars run one? Yes. Sticky tires and good brakes makes you see a dip in pressure when braking hard. What kind of braking G's do you see?

Not sure now really, since I exploded the gearbox on a high speed track during test day. 1g there, but braking like a wuss.

Then its likely already a problem on Ma5da spec cars. Seeing 1.1-1.2G in braking.

On a dry track with warmed up PBS pro race pads, R888R's 1.8 brake sizes, brake stopper and RBF600 fluid, I don't know what G's I pull but judging by how violently passengers are ejected forward I'd say a pretty decent amount

Ok thanks guys, is that only noticed with aftermarket gauges/data logging?
I only have the oem MK1 oil pressure gauge and haven't noticed a dip... but equally I'm not looking at that when braking hard on track!
According to my camera with built in accelerometer I'm seeing about a 1.5g peak under braking.
