Anyone had any experience of the Hoffman centre pipe on a mk2/2.5?
From what I can tell, it seems to be an ebay special?
A few folks over on IG seem to have one and are happy, others... Not so much.
Basically I'm putting a cobalt back box on (if seller gets back to me) and the rear flange on my centre pipe looks like it's going to crumble to ash when I touch it.
I'm not looking ong for "mad gains" or an exhaust to make Subaru drivers flinch.
Just womdering if it's worth going with the Hoffman or getting a new standard centre?

Maybe you're thinking of Helmholtz resonators ? Nope, definitely labelled "Hoffman race centre pipe" which is basically just a bit of pipe with a much smaller centre box 🤷🏻♂️ Backbox was out of my price range for the time being so I won't be replacing the centre pipe just yet after all. |

I had one on my Corsa, was noticeably cheap quality eBay special and didn't do much other than increase sound levels to annoying levels
Don't see them in mx5s much if at all, cobalt and mx5parts offer stainless centres which get good reviews. Also you can get a local exhaust shop to make you something for not much money

I’ve got a 2.5 & have a spare centre pipe & box that you can have for cheap if it helps.
