Yes yes, first car that comes to mind when someone says "Best Nissan?"
K11 Micra obviously.
89,000 miles, 1 litre, 59hp, 4 good condition tyres, good clutch, 5 months MOT, only one patch of rust, power steering, Sony headunit, manual windows, a working interior light, Β£350. Bargain. Pure lux.
What a beast. Honestly, it's nice to have a car that I can just get in and drive anywhere. In fact not only does it go over speed bumps, but a mate and I purposely found the largest speed bump in his area and went flat out over it at 40mph, and got air. It was truly an experience haha.
It body rolls like a champion, the little 165/60/14 tyres literally rolling over onto themselves trying to keep grip. It's fantastic. Handbrake needs adjusting on the drum side, but most Nissans have drum handbrakes, and they're really good! Way better than a 5 that's for sure! It needs sorting as currently it won't do sick handy Bs, and I require it to do them.
The book time top speed is 93, but I've had 109 out of it on a long steep downhill, and it still returns 39mpg despite it just being pinned flat out literally everywhere, not bad.
It's actually pretty clean, it has a dent/scuff on left hand side, and a cracked front bumper, but the paint is pretty good to be fair!
Engine bay needs a clean and paint, but everything is there and works, COPS as standard too!
My mates grabbed my heart stickers I had sat in the 5 and did some mods for me
It also has one under the Micra badge haha.
It's a great support vehicle, can chuck tools and parts in it, and it's good to use while the 5 is having bits done
We fixed the bumper with some classic drift stitching, mint
While the 5 was being welded I put a wheel up against it to see what it would look like. Looks awesome, but these aren't going on here haha
My mate had some S13 shotguns lying around, so we propped them up under it to see how hilarious it would look. 10/10 race car.
Just for the record, these won't be fitted haha!
I don't want an exhaust for it, because it's standard and slow and it would be stupid. Bit I love intake. My old enclosed "carbon" intake I had on the 5 was lying around doing nothing, so I have half fitted it
It sounds good, but I will be changing it, and doing a "Randall Cowl" style intake on it, which no one seems to do on K11s. We've had a look and there is the space to do it in the cowl, and given the short run from the throttle body to where the inlet will be, it's going to sound mental, I can't wait haha.
I bought an old OMP bucket seat off a mate for Β£20, and I'm getting the exact same black and gold steering wheel I have on the 5 off another mate for Β£20. The standard wheel is big and grim and the rubber outer is coming away from the frame at the top and you can twist it like a motorbike grip, it needs to be binned off! Also going to lower it and get an adjustable Panhard rod to correct the rear once that is done, as it goes all pissed out of line if you lower more than 35mm.
I also have my Wat reps sat in the shed that I originally had on the 5, just need to check the centre bore as the 5 is 54.1mm and the Micra 59.1 apparently. But if they'll fit I'll be getting them put on soon.
Nothing stupid, just a bit of a laugh really, make it handle a little better and leave it for now, the 5 needs to be sorted properly first.
We have been talking about ITBs and such in the group chat though, after a 1.3 swap. Keeping the 1.0 gearbox as it is shorter, and chuck a lightened flywheel in. They really move if you do all that! We'll see, if it can be done cheap then I'm in, but the 5 comes first.
