Evening all, newbie here! Looking for some help with a replacement fuel filter and fuel lines on a '99 Turbo'd NB. Went to replace the filter only to find that it doesn't look like its been replaced ever! I've got spare clips but my worry is the clips on the fuel lines themselves are buggered together with the seals inside. Is it possible to buy replacement fuel hoses to save me any agony when no doubt I break off the fuel filter or has anyone just replaced these plastic fuel lines with rubber fuel hoses?
Thanks in advance

There’s a special little gizmo for undoing the fittings on the fuel filter on the MK2.5, not sure if it’s the same on the MK2.
Search for LAS6822.

That's useful thanks. Do you know anything about the fuel lines? Can they be replaced easy enough with normal fuel pipe or should I stick to the original pipes? My worry is I'm going to get the fuel filter off but won't be able t get the new one on as the connections will be buggered from the filter never being replaced

you can use stainless braided hose (rubber = cheap ish OR ptfe lined = more expensive) hose is £10-£20 p/m and fittings (anodised aluminium) are ~£10 each... can get costly quickly if you want that racecar look Rich.

Thanks Rich, having spoken to my local Mazda dealer the hoses I'm looking at are not available anymore so it looks like I will have to go down the braided hose route. Its only the 2 hoses that run from the fuel filter so I'm happy to go with that. I guess I just wanted to make sure that changing the hoses to something else would work so appreciate everyone's help Bones
