This is a perfect little roadster, Hats off to you mate for tuning the NA engine. I'd like to build an engine to a similar spec for mine

Love the work on this moro, may I ask your opinion on the SuperPro bushes? Have they made the ride unbearable? Or do they give a nice amount of feedback without being tiring when driving long distance?

Thanks guys!
It's hard to gauge the effect the bushes would have made by themselves as other things were changed too. Saying that, I find the ride very compliant and, to give a perspective, much better compared to fn2 Civic and about on par with gt86, which is perfect for me. It's probably more to do with the Meisters, but credit where it's due, I don't feel any discomfort or harshness from the bushes, while they provide better feedback and the feel that the chassis is better held together. Certainly would go with Superpro again.

Moss offers them at good price and they do discounts from time to time. A full set of wishbone bushes could be had for around £250 from them if I remember correctly. Still not cheap but good value I think.

I think you are correct - I seem to remember a figure of about £270! Too many things to buy, not enough money... lol

Moro, how much was the speedo drive gear for the 4.66 diff including postage? Still weighing up what ratio to go for... Ended up costing me about £65 inc import duty fees. Think it was £45 from maruha then £21 import duty. They don't do a 4.77 drive so the 4.6 is the nearest you can get

Moro, how much was the speedo drive gear for the 4.66 diff including postage? Still weighing up what ratio to go for... Sorry, haven't checked the thread for a few days. Basically what bombercounty and titch said. 4.6 is the highest ration they do and cost-wise mine was $52 with postage plus 22% import fees on top.

Not an update on the red one. But last week I've found myself owning another MX5. I was trying to flog my other half's Clio 172 for 10 months now and got probably 5 calls in the time and no serious interest (not surprising, considering everyone here seems to either dream of or already own a German 4/5 door diesel). Anyway, when someone offered me a one to one exchange for his MX5 10th Anniversary I needed little persuasion and a few days later I was there, half-way between Riga and Vilnius, smiling like an idiot driving this car home. I wasn't really looking at exchanging the Clio as I need money and don't have space for 4 cars. But another 5, and a good one, that was a temptation hard to ignore. This one is pretty much as it left the factory, no questionable mods and in fairly good nick except for a few minor issues. Standard alloys were painted with spray cans and looked ghastly, driver's side mirror has a crack in it and paintwork needs tidying up. Also, the previous owner had put the top down on a sunny winter day and of course with it being cold outside when he was putting it back up it ended up in tears Since last Tuesday when I collected the car I've already sorted most of the things. I've had some spare vinyl material which was included with the new roof for the red car and used it to patch up the roof on this. Gave a quick polish to the headlights to remove the old yellowish clear coat, replaced white side markers with orange ones as per local MOT regulations and fitted an Alpine radio (the chap took his out as that was a present from his wife). Spent a few hours removing spray can paint from the wheels and hopefully by the end of this week they will be properly painted. Already sourced an intact mirror, this will probably be painted later. The biggest problem is hail damage on bonnet and boot, most likely I will get to this after end of summer. The car sits on Eibach springs and original Bilsteins and while it's far being from a precise track weapon, for me it makes a nice change from the red one. Driving experience couldn't be more different, it's quiet, comfortable, isn't afraid of worse roads and easy to live with. I haven't driven a standard mx5 for years and was somewhat surprised how little in common this has with the red one. Saying that, the 10AE is still good fun. Snapped a couple pictures with my phone. BBS wheels are on while the original ones are being resprayed.
