Dry black plugs would indicate no fuelβ¦. Give them a clean as suggested. Get your CAS set correctly, you know its probably wrong.
I will dig out my tablet and compare my MS 2 settings, donβt have the car now but it was 1.6 1992 supercharged. Only difference was injector size.

I'm not able to work on the car 'til Sunday now as I'm driving our oldest son to Wales today as he is in the England team for the International Schools Cross Country race at Pembrey Park tomorrow.
I will check TDC, reset the CAS set adjust the crank pulse width and then take it from there. I had a new set of plugs delivered yesterday as well, just in case (although the ones in the car have done less than 100 miles on road).
Will report back.

I wouldn't touch the crank pulse settings, I'd set TDC in Tunerstudio or with the CAS and see how you go after that, I'm betting get that right it'll probably start (from my experience).

Well it's not a 'Running' problem!
After several aborted attempts and some really big backfires I changed the plugs and managed to start it by flooring the throttle to kill the priming and then had to feather the throttle a lot until it was up to temperature.
Then it restarted every time.
. . . and yes, it was snowing. Show's my dedication to the cause! π€£
It's obviously getting waaaaay to much fuel in the priming, or after start phase so I'll need to play in TunerStudio.

I managed to keep him running long enough to move him from where he's been sat, on our patio (right outside our back door), since last November! I'd moved him out of the way initially due to building work we were having done and then he got stuck there (It's an uphill slope to get off and I couldn't push him off). A quick wash off of all the algae revealed significantly more blistering to the paint than before and extensive lacquer peel. π Starting is still absolutely dreadful, but everything seems buttery smooth as soon as he's up to temperature, with a very steady idle just below 900rpm. There's a long journey ahead. . .

Sooo, I reduced the cranking pulse width curve by about 20% and the car now starts much better. Not perfect, but much much better π
Think the ASE could do with some fettling too.
Despite believing my battery was fine though, it's clearly. . . not. Have now had to recharge it for the 4th time.
So that will be going back to Halfords on a warranty claim.

Well who feels like a total plonker this morning?
Just went out to try a start up with a revised set of Cranking and ASE settings, only to discover the battery completely dead.
Then I noticed that the headlights have been left on at the indicator stalk (they don't pop up when turned on at the stalk, so I hadn't noticed).
That, I suspect, is probably the source of my 'battery issue'. π€¦ββοΈ
Still haven't figured out why my indicators are dead though.
