Isn't the mic on top of the dash, so seperate from the stereo unit. An aftermarket stereo would probably just ignore any input from it, and you could always cut the wires to be sure.

Thread revival. Decided to buy an NC and get rid of my Yeti. Sadly exchange rates means sourcing a nice import and getting shipped over are just not an option. I've also changed my mind on the spec and am now set on a silver NC1 2.0 Sport with Bose and AC. Going to look at one on Saturday. Plan is to keep for 2 years and modify (Wheels, suspension, Exhaust, Maybe BBR 200 conversion) and then sell in late 2018/ early 2019 for a 2.0 ND Sport. Should be a fair few NDs knocking about by then that have dropped off their 3 year lease/PCP plans.

Clem Did you solve your volume issue? I'll be looking to drop in a double din touch screen with Apple Carplay when I source a car.

I know this is lost on you ... but today of all days I suggest you get a hardtop one ... they look nicer too No regrets on the Super200 either Whenever I think about the fact the car is worth a lot less than I paid to have it Im just like LALALALALA I'm not listening ... Not sorted the volume issue yet but I am probably going down to my container next week to have a play with the standard stereo and turn off the Autovolume thing (after that I'll go hunting the mic.) Worth watching out for distortion in the sound on the Bose system when its damp (saturday should be good for that) ... Mine starts to sound like its got a unhappy pigeon trapped in it when its cold and wet. I think its because the amp is in the hardtop well. Might be getting wet, need to clean out my drainage. Sounds pretty epic when its working right though, well worth having!
