This is quite a long time over due but quite a lot has happened and i've been putting it off for quite a while but of course will be a TL:DR at the bottom.
Well from the last post in September everything was looking great, Parts accumulating, booked in with Julian "Dr Mx5" and all was good in the world,
In September i bought some lovely Mazdaspeed ms03's as i couldn't bare to look at the car on those steels anymore.
Next needed to remove the soft top and get the massive jap can off as the novelty wore off afer a couple of days, With the soft top out and the lotus seats it feels like there is so much space! went to Bristol and picked up a lovely Klarius system, The system is a little louder than stock but is a bit raspy, it came off of a mx5 championship car and will do for now till i decide if im going down the turbo route etc.
Now it's at this point i gave my car to Julian "Doctor MX5" of which i shall carry on and leave that little rant for the end of this post.
So the long wait over Christmas i ended up feeling sad about missing my car to of course time to buy more car parts!
Bought myself a lovely 300mm OMP leather wheel which i think feels perfect so it will be paired with my NRG short hub.
I also found myself a little bit of a bargain some green Mazdapspeed HT leads in which i gave them a bit of a clean up and look good as new!
I got a bit of a bargain on some Jass TSI's (the LED type) and a jass front grill
Some S special front matts, Garage star center console delete to go with my carbon miata center console , cobalt door bushes.
I found quite an unusual front lip so of course i couldn't leave it, from quite a bit of research I've narrowed it down to a "Kanspo" front lip. It was late but was having a bad day to test fitted.
After a few months of pestering i've finally been able to buy Myke's Racing beat type 2 bumper, It needs a bit of love but it is one of my favorites of which im picking up this Saturday, also this evening i put down payment on a racing beat rear bumper and also picked up some zoom rear lights, Not sure if i'm going to use the rear lights as i have the gv rear panel which i love but considering i got the zoom lights in a straight swap for standard units i'm not complaining!

Now for Julian, Doctor Mx5
In short, he kept my mk1 for 2 months where he was supposed to do alot of work then phoned me up to tell me he hadn't done the work and i needed for it to be collected, Videos will be in the comment section of how i received my car back and what he claims is a £250 undersealing job.
He is now being very aggressive and shouting.

Phoned Julian "Doctor mx5" in August 2016 asking to book my car in for two full rear quarters, two sills and a chassis rail repair, full underseal and respray of the back end.
I asked him when it would be convenient for him of which he said November and would take him a month maybe a little bit longer which i was fine with as would give me plenty of time to get it back from him, fit parts and then enjoy all in time for summer and shows etc.
Dropped off on Saturday the 26th of which he seemed pleasant and being an "mx5 specialist" ofcourse had a couple outside.
Patiently waiting and being excited from august and then after dropping it off with him looking forward to getting it back all solid and not having to worry about rust etc before putting money into it.
Monday the 30th of January i get a phone call from Julian telling me he has not even started my car as he has not had the time and has "had to prioritize servicings" of which he offered me a full service, of which i said i did not need it servicing but still wanted it undersealed, he said he'd take off the price of the servicing £140 off of his undersealing charge £240 "that includes both bumpers, both wings, all plastics off) meaning i'd have to pay £100 and i asked if it would be done by Saturday of which i could collect it, he agreed.
Saturday 4th of February came and i picked it up, absolutely filthy, dust, dirt, black spots all over and oil marks with the obvious hand print here and there. I had a quick look and took it, i put aside the filth as i wanted it back in my possession and not in his.
Thursday 9th of February I've just had it on the ramp and its immediately evident he has barely spent 20 mins, i dare say undersealing as that would imply he has put effort in, but he has completely missed the whole length of the car between the sills and chassis rails, not removed bumpers, wings or plastics, has not put any effort in atall.
Friday 10th phoned him up to explain that i was not happy with the undersealing to be met with a very angry and aggressive response of which i offered a peaceful resolution of a refund of which he got louder and exclaimed he would not despite telling him i'd taken videos he demanded to see them, which i sent immediately.
Saturday the 11th Phoned asking if he seen the videos of which he claimed he had not and wishes to speak to my solicitors.
In all would avoid like the plague, in speaking with others it seems he has quite a temper and the rest of his repairs seem to be sub par.
So yeah, the videos pretty much sum it up, It's now Tuesday and still not heard anything from him. Over the weekend i posted up on the forum and a couple of Facebook groups and it seems that others have had a similar experience.
End of the day i'm out of pocket £100, i'm more annoyed at the fact i lost my car for 2 months in which i could of got my friend who is a mechanic to do it. Ah well, Life goes on.
Well, i will be surprised if anyone has got this far but here for the TL:DR
-Life was good, car booked in for lots of work with Dr mx5
-Bought lots more parts-Dr Mx5 turned out to be a bit of a "character"

-Oh yeah i picked up the mk1 on the Saturday from Julian so not the best start to a weekend, decided to put the mk2.5 up for sale and on the Sunday, the next day got hit by a man in a white van who has caved in my passenger side door.
