So I suspect I shall be removing the engine from my NC in the near future due to a death rattle.
I have access to all the kit we need (extensive toolkit, engine crane, someone who knows what they might be doing, time, patience) and will download and print the manuals from the other thread here.
The big question that has arisen so far is do you split the engine and gearbox on car or remove them as 1 piece?
Also any tips on what to do or definitely not do (or things that need to be done in specific orders) would be much appreciated!

You have to remove the box to get it out through the top.
You need to remove the little panel on the scuttle to get it out as well.
There's loads of stuff to disconnect. You'll find more as you raise it up.
We didn't remove the exhaust manifold. I'd suggest you do. It made it harder to get out.
Think that's it off the top of my head. Took us about 3 hours on a lift and engine hoist having never taken one out before.
