Now the seasons over for sprint and hilll climb thinking of power upgrade but can’t decide wether to go For manifold and exhaust 185 bhp or full 200 bhp by BBR ? Is the extra power worth money as looking at figures the torque figures between both upgrades is virtually the same. Had 200 bbr before and it was excellent balanced power for car but is it much better than 185bhp ? Anyone had both ?

Do the 185 and then move class and do boost unless you have quite a few grand to drop on the whole hog NA for >250. I drove the BBR200 when 180 level mods were done at Skuzzle at the time my car was in rude health and found the BBR200 lacking, of course it wasn't on my car and so hard to directly compare, I since had the cams done as I was feeling flush but got no where near 200 hard to say if that's down to the tune or my now tired motor but for the dough involved it was a bit disappointing, the car has been quicker all year but I also put 1Bs on and did some other stuff, all mods are working nice together but not cracked 190bhp. Have thought about getting it mapped again but it's probably a waste of time and money. No money being spent on the rust bucket for next season, it's going to be an organ donor after I'm done.

From what I researched when I had my NC1, the remaps on these normally remove the torque limiter in first and second which makes a good difference on it's own. Autotronix I spoke to at the time.
Remap and manifold that removes the cat make the biggest difference.

I’m going remap and manifold before the year is out. Might do cams next year as well

Spoke to roddinsons today who said risk with having cams done is more chance of dropping valve due to holding engine at higher rpm to get best out of cams ok for road use but ding this continually on track is risky - still have not decided between bbr 185 bbr 200 or roddinsons 185 there’s also Blink who do similar to both 185 upgrades god it’s confusing !

They are all offering the same thing, for what it's worth I had 180 mani fit and map done at Skuzzle with il motorsports manifold I sourced myself and have battered every BBR200 I've come up against read into that what you will The extra rpm is the thing I like the most, particularly on hills and you just want to hold on to the gear over the line but I have the non forged 2.0 so only go to 7300. I'd be looking to do the rpm uplift with either option (cams/no cams)
