Hi
I bought my first MX5 a couple of months ago, a 2017 RF. I've been having occasional problems selecting first and second gear. Mostly the gear changes feel perfect, but often I get resistance in the gear selector when trying to move it into first or second, like there are notches in the way. I've only noticed this when moving, never reproduced it when the car is stationary, but that might be a coincidence. Anyone able to explain what is happening here? Possibly related, so I'll mention it. I was slightly surprised by the amount of vibration through the gear stick. Being my first MX5 I don't know if this is to be expected, I've read differing views.

Is it a hydraulic clutch arrangement? Does it have fluid in the reservoir if so? lol
