Hi Folks,
I have just received the new logbook for the Eunos RS Ltd in my Avatar with its new M***RSL I now need to find a number plate supplier that is open to make plates to put on it. It seems you can't get plates without the logbook and you can't drive the car without the plates FOO BAR !!!!
I will be driving to work next week with the wrong plates on the car with potential insurance issues as well !!! It might give me the excuse to take the 1934 Austin to work instead though.
At least it is a small problem in the light of everything else going on.

You could look at eBay - there should be small places on there doing 'Show Plates' with delivery quickly and without the need for your driving licence etc. Might not have the BS number stuff on the bottom but it's an old car, the plate was on it when you bought it, officer Fancyplates are good but they seem to be impossible to get hold of on the phone right now and they take an age to come through the post...

Hi, Number plate issue resolved I can collect them Monday afternoon on the way home from work. All documents verified by Email I just confirm the collection time on Monday. I can collect with no human contact. Local place just off my work route. Plates will be all legal with the small font and custom cut to fit the Eunos rear plinth.

Oh Dear, The plate maker did a Foo Bar. correct size and font rear plate but a UK spec front plate. I posted the incorrect plate back through the letterbox and left a phone message followed by an email when I got home. So I will be driving to work tommorow without a front numberplate !!! ( I start work at 6.30 so not much chance of being Plodded ) I should be able to collect the correct plate on the way home from work. ( Gov contract stuff if I tell you more I have to kill you ) Insurance now has correct number on certificate.

Don't stress about not having a front plate. I know someone who has it folded under and has not been stopped, and 'a friend' didn't have one for about 3 months while doing a 100mile round trip commute but didn't get stopped, despite driving past an uncomfortable amount of police cars, lol. If you do get stopped, "WTF? Where has it gone??"

I stuck it in the boot and totally forgot about it for months of driving

Front plates are optional. I can't tell you the number of police I've been past with mine hidden away (flipped down and under). I've driven all over the place for long trips too. My excuse if I get stopped will be "Sorry I forgot, it gets moved down for cleaning".
Funny enough, mine was up today Wannabe as I just got back from the MOT. It's back away again until next year

As you say, seems rare to get stopped in a 5 for no front plate - I don't know why that would be, perhaps we just look friendlier and less like we're up to no good than gangsta german marques with drivers' seats at 60 degree angles *awaits getting stopped the next time he is out* lol

Besides the powers are currently occupied with the world falling apart. Once we have total financial collapse and riots you'll be able to drive around with an elephant on the roof and no one will notice. Don't try that unless you have a hard top
