Potentially stupid question. Do they come with top mounts fitted or do you need to swap them from the stock suspension?
After doing sprints in my 1.8, I've bought another 1.6 and building it this winter to enter a race series. Not decided which one yet, so building it so it can run in them all. I run HSD's on my 1.8, so unfortunately not transferable.

While we are here, I have these dampers with the soft road springs. I am very happy with the overall compromise. Especially now I have found the ideal ride height which works on bumpy and heavily undulating country roads. After trying a lot of different settings I have mine at 8 clicks up from soft, front and back.
I notice some people seem to have the rears set a click or two harder than the fronts, on various different brand dampers. What are peoples views on keeping them the same all round v having them harder at the rear? This is aimed at everyone, not just GGP owners.
Thanks!

Setting them harder at the rear makes the car more rear biased in its handling. Harder at the front makes it more under steer. Most people tweak to find a balance they like.

Ok thanks, I will try it a tad harder at the rear then!

You can get Gaz top mounts if you want them ... at least, you could do, not aware that it's changed
