As above, has anyone here ever wrapped a hardtop themselves? As i am considering doing it myself, so i was going to ask how much wrap did you use, dimensions, size of the wrap you purchased? Any particular areas where you had any problems? Any help much appreciated.
Best regards, Oni.

I've just wrapped my tailgate, and it was a lot trickier than youtube suggests...
where I struggled was around the high level brake light, and you'll have the same around the lower corners bear the top of the doors, where you'll have a lot more material than you need. I ended up cutting and overlapping mine as I ran out of time.
I'd also recommend wrapping something else first, before you spend Ā£60 on DiNOC and make a mistake. Either that or buy for the hard top, cut it to shape and so some practice runs with the offcuts on something else like a mirror cover, to see how it stretches. I know if I had done that I'd have laid mine differently!

I'm just using a plain black gloss wrap so is only Ā£30 for 5ft x 8ft. If it all works out okay, then will attempt a full wrap on the car. Cheers for the heads up and advice š Oni.

I'm close to wrapping my whole car too, I've replaced the damaged wing for a new one, rear bumper is here to go on so as soon as I find a front bumper I'm ready to go.
Are you doing the whole car in gloss black or trying something new? I'm torn between white carbon and Atomic Teal at the mo.
Where are you buying yours? I'm struggling to find a supplier that isn't trade only
Also, where are you in the uk? If we are local we could both learn to do it properly...

Do a full car kit with tools for just short of Ā£160 including vat. Nah, i am just doing the roof and window surround in gloss black. Rest of the car I am torn between a gloss cream and an ultra bright Kermit green haha. One extreme to the other š I'm down in Stoke on Trent, and in one of the not so nice areas. Will need to do some major saving to do rest of the car, lacking funds somewhat haha. Advantage of the 5 is its small and everything short of the rear quarter panels is removable and of a manageable size to take off and sit in the warm and wrap š
