Good morning, I am in the process of getting my turbo 1.6 up and running, still quite a bit to do but it is getting there! At some point I am looking to get the launch control going on it (ME221) my simple question being; Is it as simple as running out of a spare way on my ECU via a toggle switch to the clutch switch and back? I am assuming that I will be using a specific spare way on the ECU which I will have a look into. It all seems slightly grey browsing google, everyone just seems very clued up on ECUs or doesn't touch them! I want to learn dammit!  Cheers |

skuzzle should be able to help you out on this one. I know he's set up at least one 5 with LC.

Just checked.. Turns out I might be wrong there.
The ecu already has clutch switch input. We've not setup launch on an me221 yet but I'd guess it's just a case of enabling it in the Motorsport functions.

Thanks, have had a look through the user manual; really comprehensive but as you say, missing this information. I know they're constantly updating it though. Will have a better look and play with it when I have time and a more solid set up.

Slightly off topic, but anyone know if launch control is possible with an MS1? Would be fun to pop and bang every so often  |

MS1 does have it.
I used to use it with my MSPnP unit along with flat shifting.
Personally I'd never use it again. It's extreme harsh on the car.

Thanks Law, interesting. I know it's not that good for it but it's not going to be used a lot. Probably just for showing off once a year. Nice to have:)

Same here, its more for being a chav and making some big bangs every now and then than actually launching off the line and lunching my transmission!
