Evening all, I'm after a bit of help/advice please
Does anyone know anything about Jackson Racing cold air intakes? Might be getting one (relatively) cheap but sounds like it might take a bit of fitting? How tricky or straightforward is it, and does it do anything other than make noise?

It's about the only one that gives a genuine power increase and it sounds the nuts. I used to have one before I supercharged my mk1. Fitting isn't that hard.

Yup I have one, Its not easy peasy to fit (like a cone) but Ok if you have a few basic tools. Fiddly more than difficult. Ive had one for some time but my mate just fitted one and said that he noticed the difference immediately! well worth it IMO

Thanks chaps. Did anyone have to do any soldering to wires to fit it, one instruction video I saw, suggested you did?!

You can just crimp them.

I may of imagined this but I believe the new version comes with a socket & plug extension lead?

they are well worth it for both the noise and the actual increase in power
i gained about 7 or 8 bhp from fitting mine
