I wish to get inside my doors to lubricate my window winding mechanisms, as they are getting a bit stiff. I presume I will end up having to remove the clear plastic water proof lining. Does this come off without breaking or should I order replacements before I start? Any other tips?
Thanks

When I did mine I replaced it with sticky back plastic! Worked fine

I suppose a plastic ground sheet, a bead of silicone and some scalpel trimming will do the job.

I stuck a couple of layers of clear sticky back over the inside of the door, bit of silicon as you say and then trim where necessary, I like the fablon because we had a roll in the house cos my son uses it to cover his school books!!
Also i bought a sheet of hardboard and using old as templates replaced my door cards, the old lining came off easy and stuck back on good as new, the trouble is with the old ones - they are often all floppy and soft - ooer!
