Hi guys,
I'm looking at making my own front splitter, one of those race looking ones with the metal tie bar thingys. I know im very technical.
So first of all, if anyone has done this before, any tips or advice? Or even a template?
Secondly, I'm gonna wrap it in a carbon fibre wrap. Has anyone wrapped anything before, how fiddly is it? I am not sure if its worth me just taking it somewhere to get wrapped as im not very neat and I would be annoyed if I messed it up so bad it doesn't look good.
Any help is much appreciated and I shall keep this thread updated as well. |

Dont know about making splitter but i tried some wrapping on my previous car
Easy on small straight stuff, hard (to make look good) on large and curved areas, you need a very sharp craft knife, the wifes hairdryer and massive patience
i fail on the 3rd option!!!

Yeah I am not sure, I don't wanna paint it as I don't think it will look that great, but I am also not very good at artsy fartsy stuff, very ham handed. Might have to make it and then pay to get it wrapped.

I'm up for some of that composite board too...
Can we organise a group buy? as in someone goes and gets it and brings it to the fest, and they get their sheet for free? I'll pay £1 more to not drive to Kent...
