I'm soooo sorry, I hate to add to the what's it worth posts... I could do with a little bit of advice regarding my hard top. It's a heated glass screen hard top but the paint is properly ropey! Should I just put it on eBay and see what happens? I'd rather sell it on here to someone decent. Thanks

How ropey? Some colours fetch more than others too eg black. Value depends on what else is available in your locality.
If i saw two similar hardtops for sale the one closer to me is worth a little more automatically.
Maybe £200 if it needs respraying.

I'd go with £200 as well. You could always fix and paint it and sell for me if you think there's more profit in that if you can offset the costs.

Stick it on Ebay, I watched a few recently that had damage go for £250+
Your likely to see a wider range of people too, as said location is just as important as cost.

Considering i got a hardtop recently from ebay i will relay what i saw over a month of watching and watching. If there is no damage but paint is a bit dodge i would say 250 to 300 depending on how bad the paint is. Worthwhile damaged hardtop give or take 200 Mint condition 400 onwards. Good condition between 300 and 400
I got mine for 220 with Mazda bag, its a genuine mark 2 hardtop. In black but the paint is proper ducked and it has chips and scrapes all over but its not damaged and secures properly with all catches and is water tight

How does one tell if it's genuine Mazda or after market?

I bought a fairly crappy one for £200 last winter, and sold it again last week for £200.

How does one tell if it's genuine Mazda or after market? forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=466095Shellby they are out there just gotta be patient and willing to do a bit of filler and paint on it if you want cheap. Another note is dont worry about how far it is. Obviously within sensibility. As you can put it on when you pick it up! Soft top can stay in with hard top.
