So... my boot is basically doing a good impression of a bucket right now. Just looking at MX5Parts and it looks like they do the gaskets for the rear lights: www.mx5parts.co.uk/rear-lamp-gasket-mk1-p-1415.htmlbut I can't see one for the centre/third brakelight. Does it exist? Did they have one in the first place?? Other than that, is there anything else I need to change? Perhaps the screws/gaskets where a hardtop would join up to? (Can't remember the name...) I've got the little round washers for the roof screws but haven't got round to putting them on yet (Because I'm scared of doing it wrong lol)

Following. I also have a mysterious pool of water appearing in my boot and haven't been able to figure out where it's coming from.
Mine ends up mostly in the spare wheel

Mine is mostly ending up on the left hand side, in the dip where the wing meets the boot floor (hence I think it might be the rear light gasket), but I have also had it seemingly running down the bootlid supporting structure when I've opened the boot? (which makes me think perhaps central brake light as well).
Hassle!

Annoying indeed. I also had a random wet passenger seat last night after leaving the car in the rain. Haven't had that one before.
They're like a bloody colander

Motorsports supply the boot lid brake lamp gasket so I'm presuming they can leak. I removed the lamp on my car and the seal/gasket was very deteriorated and if it's not actually leaking now it won't be long before it will. Worth removing all the boot trim and sprinkling talcum powder on all the side panels and floor, then spraying water over the rear of the car. That will guide you to where the leaks are occurring.

Thanks for the recommendation May I trouble you for a link to the gasket? I've had a look on what I assume is their website but I can't see anything even close! www.ilmotorsportusa.com/search.asp?keyword=gasket&search.x=18&search.y=18Apologies for the hassle! I will have to try that talcum powder trick - I know the aerial is at least one place that leaks, I've seen it drip, but do I know where the stubby aerial is that I bought to replace the annoying whip aerial? Nooooo.... lol

They're like a bloody colander Does anyone else find that when you open the door during/after rain, the rain channel from the roof drips right down onto the drivers' seat bolster? I wasn't sure if it was 'supposed' to do it or if mine is broken lol

I wouldn't order a boot lid seal just yet. As rule of thumb most water leaks into the boot are not due to a worn boot lid seal. If you do think it's the seal first try rotating it around 180 degrees. This sometimes can solve a leaky seal problem.

Cool, will see how these do and update once I've had a chance to check them after some rain! Cheers for your help!
