I fitted some new hoses that connect to the inlet manifold as one of mine was split. However I’m not sure I’ve got them the right way round. There are two on the top of the inlet manifold and I’m not sure which goes to the thermos stat.
I know, I’m silly for not noting this down somehow, but if someone could take a look under their bonnet and let me know which hose connects to the thermostat I’d be very grateful!
On a separate note, after changing the hoses I now have a screeching noise coming from one of the pulleys. To try and identify it I squirted a dab of WD40 behind each of the pulley and it’s the pulley immediately above the crank.
I’ve bene having alternator issues lately so it may be related as this pulley seems to drive the alternator.
Thank you

try adjusting the belt tightness or replacing the alternator belt

as for the hoses...i have a 1.8 so can't help
however i'm sure you will be able to find a few 1.6 engine bay shots on google/people's progress threads which show the hose you're after
